Every Action has a Reaction

"Every moral failure is going to cause trouble, probably to others and most certainly to yourself." -C. S. Lewis.

I, without any hesitation, believe this to be true. First, we must understand the statement C.S Lewis made that said "the question is not what we intended ourselves to be, but what He intended us to be when He made us" (Lewis 173). When God created man, he created him in the "image of God" meaning we were made to be like God: kind, selfless, pure, PEREFECT. Unfortunetly, our sinful nature prohibits us from becoming what God intended us to be. In Mere Christianity, C. S. Lewis explains that humans are like cars. Just as cars were designed to run only on oil, humans were also designed to run on God. How often do we make sure we run on the right source of power though? Most of the time, we try to find energy in the "perfect" boyfriend, the right zip code, the latest fashion trends, and so much more. However, this only leads to more dissatifaction because we sacrifice being liek God to obtain these things. Everytime we lie, indulge, steal, lust, SIN, we are not running on what our souls were specially created to use, therefore hurting our quality of life and our eternal relationship with God.
